Refund policy
WELLSCRIPT PHARMACY
Return & Refund Policy
www.rx.pharmacy | Effective Date: July 31, 2026
Wellscript Pharmacy is committed to your safety and satisfaction. Because we dispense medications, our return policy is shaped by Michigan pharmacy law and federal safety standards. Please review the sections below, which apply to purchases made on www.rx.pharmacy and in store.
1. Prescription Medication Return Policy
1.1 All Prescription Sales Are Final
For your protection, prescription medications cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded once they have been dispensed and have left the pharmacy's control. Michigan law (Mich. Admin. Code R 338.503 and MCL 333.17766) prohibits pharmacies from accepting dispensed prescription drugs for return, restocking, or resale. Once a medication leaves our custody, we can no longer guarantee its integrity, storage conditions, or safety, and it may not be redispensed to another patient.
1.2 Exceptions
We will provide a replacement or full refund, at your choice, in the following circumstances:
- Dispensing error. You received a medication other than the one prescribed, an incorrect strength, or an incorrect quantity due to a pharmacy error.
- Drug recall. The medication is subject to a manufacturer or FDA recall. We will contact affected patients and arrange replacement or refund at no cost.
- Damaged or defective on arrival. Your shipped medication arrives damaged, compromised, expired, or outside required temperature conditions. Contact us within 7 days of delivery; do not use the product.
- Shipping error. If your order is lost in transit or delivered to the wrong address, we will reship or refund after carrier confirmation.
In these cases, contact us before returning anything. Our pharmacist will provide instructions; returned items are quarantined and destroyed in accordance with law — they are never returned to stock.
1.3 Refused or Undeliverable Shipments
Prescription orders refused at delivery or returned as undeliverable cannot be restocked or resold and are not eligible for refund, except where the error was ours. Please verify your shipping address before completing checkout.
1.4 Order Cancellations
You may cancel a prescription order at no charge any time before it has been dispensed and shipped or picked up. Once dispensed, the sale is final.
1.5 Safe Medication Disposal
Unwanted or expired medications should never be flushed or thrown in household trash unless labeling instructs otherwise. Use a DEA-authorized drug take-back location or ask our pharmacist about disposal options. Visit dea.gov or michigan.gov/egle for take-back sites near you.
2. Over-the-Counter (OTC) Product Return Policy
2.1 Standard Returns
Unopened OTC products in their original, sealed packaging may be returned within 30 days of purchase or delivery for a full refund or exchange. Proof of purchase (receipt or order number) is required. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7–10 business days of our receiving and inspecting the return.
2.2 Non-Returnable OTC Items
For health and safety reasons, the following cannot be returned unless defective or damaged on arrival:
- Opened or unsealed products, or products with tampered or missing safety seals
- OTC medications and supplements, once opened
- Home diagnostic and test kits (e.g., pregnancy, COVID-19, glucose tests)
- Refrigerated or temperature-sensitive items
- Personal care and hygiene items (e.g., thermometers, nebulizer parts, compression garments) once opened
- Clearance or final-sale items marked as such at purchase
2.3 Defective or Damaged OTC Products
If an OTC product arrives damaged, defective, or expired, contact us within 7 days of purchase or delivery. We will provide a prepaid return label where applicable and issue a full refund or replacement, including any shipping charges.
2.4 How to Return (Shipped Orders)
Contact us first to obtain a return authorization and instructions. Ship authorized returns in protective packaging with your order number enclosed. Unless the return is due to our error or a defective product, return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility. In-store purchases may be returned at the pharmacy counter with receipt.
